Sudden unexplained jump in weight???

I’m 32+4 and in 3 days I’ve gained nearly 2lbs, I’ve barely been able to eat much due to baby pushing on my stomach and the last 3 days have averaged 1200-1300 calories, (I track calories to try and make sure I eat enough due to the fullness problem) previously I had only gained 3lbs this pregnancy so a jump of 2lbs in half a week is massive and I’m worried something might be wrong, it just doesn’t make sense!! I know sudden jumps in weight can be a sign of GD but I haven’t had any symptoms previously to that and baby measuring on 50th percentile.

Any advice/ideas??

I wouldnt worry from about 32 weeks I had weeks were I would gain a 1lb then others were I would gain 3lbs in a week my midwife said its baby having growth spurt and it's normal and nothing to worry about xx

Weighing yourself daily will cause inaccurate results anyway due to water weight etc. Why are you weighing yourself so much? And to have only gained 3lbs so far is extremely little, you are eating very low calories!

You cannot take weight gain or loss on a daily basis as anything meaningful. To be honest, it sounds like you need to put weight on, not worry about it. I would suggest a chat with your midwife if you are fretting about gaining 2lbs when you are pregnant.

@BeautyAndTheBump1 I’m weighing myself twice weekly because I have to make sure I’m not losing weight, if I don’t track calories I’ve found I’d only eat about 600-800 calories daily because of struggling to eat more than a fistful of food at a time. Normally I can struggle up to 1500-1700 calories daily but the last few days I couldn’t even manage that, so it was a massive surprise to see a 2lb gain, considering previously to that I’d not managed to put anything on in 4 weeks!

You’ve gained 5lbs, that’s very little. You should be gaining ground APPROX 1lb a week from now on.

I fluctuate more than 5lb every DAY and that was before I was pregnant.

Weighed myself again this morning, must have been water retention from salty soup the night before, I’ve actually lost half a pound this week 🤷🏻‍♀️
