How to tell the difference between implantation bleeding and period bleeding

So I had a miscarriage around March 3 and I’m just now wiping and seeing some blood and I’m not sure if it’s my period coming back or if I’m pregnant again because the texture of this spotting is stringy and it stretches and the color is pinkish brown. I’m not sure if period spotting is suppose to be this kind of texture but I’m not sure and I’m not sure if i had this type of texture to my period. The bleeding is light also

Mine was a pale rusty, browny redish colour and only lasted a day. I tested positive a few days later, on the day my period was due. Ultimately you're not going to know so you just need to stop symptom spotting (easier said than done I know) and get on with life for a few more days/week before you can test.

You’ll have to wait and see if it develops into a period or not.

Just wait and see, everyone is different . I had hardly any implantation bleeding but expected too as I thought it was common but the not- mine was more like egg whites with the thinnest of a pink streak in it just once and that was it. You’ll have to hold off and test when you’re late for your period or just see if it gets heavier I’m afraid. Try it to symptom spot otherwise you’ll get your hopes up , symptom spotting doesn’t change the outcome.
Sorry for your loss previously x

The 1st period after a miscarriage can be a bit strange, your body is still trying to repair itself. All you can do is monitor it and wait and see how it develops. I've been pregnant 5 times (4 miscarriages) and only had implantation bleeding with 2 of them.

Since it's about 4 weeks since your mc, this is most likely your period. Most women never have implantation bleeding - it really isn't that common at all, and most times when it does happen it's just a few spots, not really bleeding. I'd just keep an eye on it and if you think you're pregnant, do a test. Good luck.

Sorry for your loss. I've noticed implantation with 2 pregnancies.

1st- a tiny, pink, speck (3mm across) on toilet paper. No pain, nothing on underwear, and nothing more at all.

2nd time- same sized speck, but more a yellow/brownish colour this time. Again, no pain and nothing more.

I agree its more likely period. It may look different to normal, and still be clearing old blood from the MC. My period started exactly a month after my last MC, but the texture and colour was a bit different the first few days. let us know how you get on. x
