Just wondered how much everyone gained overall or so far during pregnancy? I'm half way through and have gained quite a bit 😫 wondered if this was normal.. or just a food baby on top 😏

mable88 · 04/04/2020 15:08

10lbs so far, I’m 20+4 with my first. No idea if that’s normal?!

latheritup · 04/04/2020 15:12

2st first pregnancy, one dress size. Mainly due to inability to exercise I had severe SPD!

Caspianberg · 04/04/2020 15:55

Just over 2 stone so far. 36 weeks. Gained most in the last 2 months I would say.

Parsley1234 · 04/04/2020 16:03

Jem9153 · 04/04/2020 17:17

I’m 21 weeks and I’ve gained around 9 or 10 lbs but my hips and thighs are already covered in stretch marks! 🤦🏼‍♀️

Birdy1991 · 04/04/2020 17:35

23 weeks and two days and 15 pounds so far! Not sure how normal that is

WhatWouldPennyDo · 04/04/2020 17:41

Only early here. 11+3, but have lost 3lbs. Been eating normally but no booze or booze related snacking. Make of that what you will!!

Oldestchild90s · 04/04/2020 18:12

Thanks for the replies ladies! I've put on around 11lbs so far (21 weeks exactly today 😌) have any of you got any weird cravings? Struggling to eat healthily? I can't stop eating the bad stuff 😭

Lilice · 04/04/2020 18:22

About 20 kgs each pregnancy

Jeca8 · 04/04/2020 18:28

I’m 19 weeks and have put on 10lbs, had such a sweet tooth since being pregnant though! Which isn’t helping with my healthy eating as I just want cake and chocolate lol! Never had a sweet tooth before.

BeautyAndTheBump1 · 04/04/2020 18:32

I'm 32 weeks and have put on 15lbs so far. I have HG and lost half a stone in the 1st trimester and it took me until 20 weeks to put that back on! 😣

Birdy1991 · 04/04/2020 18:47

@Oldestchild90s craving all the bad stuff. Including McDonald’s (it’s now closed obviously which is probably a blessing for my waistline). Meat, especially bacon sandwiches. But most of all chocolate/sugar which is weird as I’ve always been a savoury kind of person! No weird cravings though. How about you?

soshesaid · 04/04/2020 19:35

I gained 20kg in both my pregnancies Blush. I lost it all but it took nearly a year each time. Just completely ravenous from the 2nd trimester and while breastfeeding.

Dyra · 04/04/2020 19:38

I put on about 14kg with a booking BMI of 36. I was really disappointed, as I didn't want to weigh more than 100kg at any point. Instead I wound up hitting the triple digits early in the second trimester. I put the scales away for the rest of my pregnancy after that. If I hadn't been weighed when admitted to hospital, I would never have known just how much weight I put on.

On a positive note, I'm now 8kg lighter than my booking weight 7 months post birth. Still obese, but getting there. Smile

Oldestchild90s · 04/04/2020 19:38

@Birdy1991 Oh my, a Big Mac was my new thing until McDonalds closed so i'm lost at the moment haha! No weird cravings as such, i've heard a few people mention that they like pickled onions, beetroot or gherkins but mine seems to be mainly bacon sandwiches, mini eggs and pancakes!

I was a little worried because some people have told me i 'must' eat really healthily then others have said to just relax and enjoy it while i can. I was a hardcore gym goer before i became pregnant so it has been nice to eat really really well for once!
