Baby’s movements - Advice please

I’m 26 weeks pregnant and the last 3 days my baby hasn’t really been moving much.
It’s normal pattern is a good morning kick about, a good lunchtime kick about and then from about 8-10pm and again strong kicks that wake me around 2am! Oh and baby would respond to prods with kicks and if I had anything with caffeine it would have a mad 20 minutes about half an hour later.
Now I’m finding I have to initiate movement (cold drinks, a bath, lying on my left) I’m feeling stressed but I think that’s the thought of having to go in to a hospital to be monitored. Would you get checked out or do you think baby may have just moved so I’m not feeling their normal pattern?
I don’t know what to do as I dread the thought of hospitals. I’ve not been out the house now for over 3 weeks as I’ve self isolated. Thanks for any advice.

I would absolutely call your midwife

I would definitely get checked out. However, just to try and put your mind to rest I’m now 30 weeks and my movements completely changed when I went from being really active and busy pre isolation to much more sedentary in isolation. My midwife said this was to be expected but if I was ever worried to call.

Probably nothing but, as others have said, definitely worth getting checked out to be on the safe side

Hi all
Thanks for replying :) I’ve spent today really focusing on baby’s movements and not a lot else. I’ve had a few strong kicks and although it’s me initiating, every time I’ve had a cold drink I’ve had lots of movement - I think the baby has just moved in to a position that isn’t so obvious when I’m doing normal daily tasks. I’m going to see how tomorrow goes but feeling a lot happier now x

Glad you're feeling better. They say it's important to trust your instincts with these things so if you feel it's okay, it most likely is Smile
