Labour pain or Braxton hicks ??

Am 37 +3 with 2nd baby and today I had a bit of upset tummy and then felt off all day but tonight I have started to get a few twinges and pain in lower pelvis and round sides and a bit in my lower back baby is moving normally but my belly does go hard when the pain comes is this labour starting or Braxton hicks ??? I honestly dont know as last time I lost mucas plug and contractions started quite strong that I knew i think but i cant remember as this was 4yrs ago any help much appreciated x

Sorry I can’t help I came here wondering how to tell. I’ve been having ‘contractions’ 5mins apart since 5pm, pretty sure it’s Braxton hicks just wish it would do something or go away.

@Rosehip345 thanks mone have gone but I have woken feel a bit off again, i didnt have Braxton hicks last time so was unsure xx good luck xx

For me braxton hicks are the same as labour pains so unfortunately it means I haven’t got a clue if I’m in labour or not 🤷‍♀️🤦‍♀️

Don’t know about OP but I now have a baby 😊 I had been sent in anyway with reduced heartbeat luckily as what turned into labour was actually less than the braxton hicks to start with.

Thank you for your reply, I've been in today for a scan and the midwife said I didn't look well, my BP was high, protein in urine and still had the pains.

Had all the tests done and I'm not in labour, I am being induced on Wednesday though
