Red blood and brown discharge does it ever end well?

I'm 5 weeks. I've had two separate episodes of red ( about a teaspoon on wiping) blood a few days ago and small amounts of brown discharge every day for the past week. I've had one successful pregnancy and one mmc both had the brown discharge but only the mmc had a bit of red. I don't want to go to epau yet. Does that his ever end well? Tests are very strong and digital reader says 3+

That sounds like a very small amount of blood. I had a long, large bleed this pregnancy with fresh blood and it’s absolutely fine. I was shocked to see a baby with a heartbeat in the EPU scan. 50% of people who go to the EPU with bleeding end up having a healthy baby, and it sounds like you don’t have enough blood to go to the EPU.

Yes it can be completely fine. I’ve had miscarriages and a successful pregnancy and with my successful pregnancy I had first trimester red bleeding right through to 12 weeks. It may be a subchorionic hematoma. Hoping for a positive outcome for you.

I had brownish discharge and a few small amounts of bright red between 5.5-7.5 weeks. All was fine. Fingers crossed for you.

I had bleeding (quite a bit more than you're getting now) in 2 pregnancies, one got heavier and didn't end well. The other one slowed and stopped and result is a lively toddler currently running around with her police car.

Both were about the same amount of bleeding for the first week so I assumed that the second one was going to end the same way. When I finally got a epu appointment I was shocked that there was a heartbeat.

Yes.

I bled, full on period bleeding, between 5-6 weeks.
Cried my eyes out.

The 18 month old drinking milk on my lap says that yes, it does end well

I had on and off brown blood in my pregnancies (healthy), and only black blood wasn't good (ectopic).

Had it again late pregnancy once as well, scared the hell out of me. Was about 34 weeks but was ok.

I bled at 8 weeks with dd. Turned out I have two uterus and the one without the baby was shedding the lining. Apparently its common but you only find out if you have a scan in very early pregnancy or without pregnancy.

I had it in this pregnancy, about 4-5 weeks. Red blood every day for a week, one day it filled a full pad. There were a couple of very small clots as well. I've had a miscarriage before and one healthy pregnancy. As I didn't bleed a drop in the healthy pregnancy, I assumed mc.

But no, I'm 16 weeks and have had 3 scans so far, all showing a healthy baby. I still can't believe it!

Fingers crossed it works out for you OP.

Thanks everyone. It's good to have hope. It's so stressful being on 'knicker watch'. Every time I go to the bathroom I feel like there will be a big gush and all will be gone again.
