Symptoms decrease at 9 weeks?

My symptoms seemed to be up and down every day now.
I felt awful from 6 weeks to about 8 I mean really bad, all day hangover feeling, watery mouth everything smelt awful, could hardly Eat much. Had scan and baby has nice strong heart beat and growing.
I’ve had spotting and back aches and also mild lower stomach aches on and off. The scans have reassured me but I seem to get anxious now that my symptoms don’t seem as bad. I’ve been having naps in the afternoon until yesterday and today I feel okayish, still been sick this morning and got low back ache and watery mouth on and off.
I just seem to think in my own head because I seem to be feeling bit better that something must be wrong! Please tell me this can be normal?

Yes this can be totally normal. I remember being 9 weeks and my symptoms subsiding and after being reassured that this was ok, I felt quite smug that I suddenly felt a lot better.
That soon wore off as my symptoms came back with a vengeance 😂
I think your body gets a surge of hormones, then plateaus and adjusts and then gets another surge. My midwife certainly told me it’s normal for symptoms to wax and wane.
I know it’s hard but try not to worry and enjoy feeling normal-ish ❤️

Completely normal. I was similar. I really struggled between 5-8 weeks (exhausted, sick, backache), had a good week 9, then struggled again weeks 10-12. Like Gigitree, I was relieved at week 9 when I seemed to feel better then symptoms came back with vengeance at week 10 😂. I would literally cough once then need to throw up.

I’m now week 13 and instead of not being able to keep my eyes open like weeks 4-12, I am now getting Pregnancy insomnia but still have the remains of 1st trimester sickness (being very tired was my worst trigger of sickness). However the last 2 days my sickness has started to calm down so hoping by the time I reach 14 weeks it will mostly be gone! It’s such a rollercoaster!

They usually subside between 9-16 weeks as that’s when the placenta is formed. Unfortunately mine started at 12 weeks!

Very normal! The same thing happened to me at 9 weeks, I had awful sickness from 6-9 weeks but once I hit 9 weeks I started to get a bit of relief and it gradually got better each week.

I am in my 9th week now, and yes, my symptoms are better. Less tired, not throwing up anymore, just residual mild nausea and larger boobs. I cannot help but worry (I worry about everything with this pregnancy). Have Harmony scan in 1 week time which cannot come soon enough.

Hi, try not to worry it’s completely normal. At around 8-9 weeks my symptoms were gone and they’ve came back again now, back to feeling nauseous with migraines again. (Hoping for you nasty symptoms won’t be returningSmile)

Mc3209 · 04/04/2020 13:56

I spoke too soon. Nausea is back for me.

Littlebb2020 · 04/04/2020 14:47

Me too 😂 this is the worst I’ve felt! Had a headache all day feel hungover and I’ve threw up loads 😞
