Hi all

I've been following mumsnet for a long time as we started talking about starting a family of our own. I'm 27 years old, husband is 29, and we're happily married in our own home.

However, I'm slightly overweight, so when we agreed to start TTC, I thought it may take longer for us to conceive.

However, I'm a week late on my period and did a test, and another, and another....

I keep getting slight cramping as if I'm going to come on a period, is this normal?

I know it sounds ridiculous, but is this really real?!

At the doctors today for blood test to confirm everything.

Please be nice... I think I will be spending a lot of time on here!

Congratulations! Lovely news. Yes, I had cramping with both my children just like period pains. Totally normal. Good luck with everything.
