Hi ladies, I am 5+2 and think I might have what appears to be miscarriage signs. This am I had brown/beige spotting and when I wiped was pink. Later the discharge was brown sports on pad and brown when wiping light brown. Tonight was pinky red when wiped on tissue. No gushes or clots or dark red but have never experienced this with my 2 boys. I had a mc last year and an 40 so am so worried. Anyone had similar and had successful pregnancy ? Be honest I can take it xx

It's probably implantation only. I wouldn't worry. I bled loads for a good 15 weeks even big clots. I'm now 31 weeks and all is well. All the best to you.

BuffaloCauliflower · 31/03/2020 23:13

@Idolovechocolategimmygimmy did they have any idea why so much bleeding? Was it just bleeding or did you feel crampy as well?

Jaylou7 · 31/03/2020 23:13

So happy for you to be thrust far along 😘 thank you for your reassurance I just assumed implantation was weeks ago I get so confused and suffer with anxiety so not helping x

The difficulty here is every pregnancy is different
In my first pregnancy I had no bleeding at all but then found out at a scan that I had had a missed miscarriage. With my second pregnancy I had some brown blood on wiping not much at all and so had a scan at epu and it was a mmc again
With my current pregnancy I had a large bright red bleed at 5/6 weeks and then some brown blood on wiping but am currently 24+4.
I don't think it's always easy to tell or predict. Best way is to contact your gp or epu and try and get an appt for a scan or a blood test for hcg levels

I found because of previous experience my anxiety was also through the roof and to be fair still is I saw a counsellor that my gp set me up with and it was amazing to talk and get some help

Keep positive and if you need anything just ask

@Jaylou7
Hello I've been thinking about you how are you doing

Jaylou7 · 02/04/2020 09:39

Thank you! That’s so kind. Not good at all I’m afraid after a day of no bleeding I’ve woken up to lots of brown blood and what looks like tissue loss. Def mc I’m positive 😢

@Jaylou7 Have you tried getting in contact with your local Early Pregnancy Unit? I called on Monday after some spotting on Sunday and was seen for an early scan on Tuesday morning. The scan showed all was fine. However, had more bleeding last night and a little this morning so called the EPU again. The sister was great and has told me to monitor for 7 days. She says it can be quite common. I understand your worries as I am 39 and this is my first pregnancy following a miscarriage in 2018. Good luck x

ofwarren · 02/04/2020 09:48

My SIL bled like a normal period for 3 months and my niece is now 1.
The only way to know is to contact the early pregnancy unit and get scanned.
Good luck OP 🤞

MrsJaneyp · 02/04/2020 09:56

@Jaylou7 I had this with my current pregnancy and after a scan they confirmed all was ok. I also had a little tissue loss. Then also after the brown blood stopped which was about 2 days I had some more discharge that was brown and pink but it was a sensitive cervix. Phone them as you never know. I'll keep my fingers crossed 😘

Jaylou7 · 02/04/2020 11:04

Thanks lovely, mine is like stringy brown though looks like tissue 😳 hopefully getting referral to epau Monday x

Same here I am 5+3 and having quite a heavy bleed, this in my third pregnancy and never had this before. I am going to see how it goes overnight and call GP in the morning.

Emerald89 · 02/04/2020 18:42

If it helps 20-25% of women have bleeding in early pregnancy so its pretty common.

Jaylou7 · 02/04/2020 20:55

My third too. Mines quite heavy dark brown getting redder. Preg symptoms gone too xx

I had similar spotting at 6weeks. Had an early scan and all was fine. Hope all goes well for you

starsinyourpies · 03/04/2020 14:45

Good luck Jaylou, mine is definitely a miscarriage. Very heavy bleeding all night.

Aiya18 · 07/04/2020 20:47

Hi @Jaylou7 I think I'm in the same situation. I had brown spotting last Saturday and had early scan yesterday. I was able to hear the heart beat. But today I started bleeding Sad Hopefully everything will be ok
