Hello all,

Just looking to get the baby wardrobe basics together and am having great trouble! Everything is sold out everywhere online! I’ve tried Asda, next and m&s with no joy. I’m only after the basics - sleepsuits, cardigans, leggings etc

Where is everyone getting their baby clothes? Ideally without going to the shops...

Have you tried sending someone to check in store?

myfav · 31/03/2020 16:22

John Lewis, Jojo, mamas and papas. I normally get most clothes from M&S but also noticed they're sold out in most clothes under 1. H&M also do a lot of basics. You may need to look in Morrisons, Tescos and Waitrose if you're not finding too much online.

Matalan are delivering

Nelbert19 · 31/03/2020 16:24

I have not @broohaha, but I guess I’ll have to

Aw man, coronavirus is even stopping me picking out my baby clothes, I was looking forwards to that!

Jo maman Bebe have a lot of nice clothes (quite expensive though) in stock and delivering still. M&S is also delivering baby clothes and have some nice bits!

Nelbert19 · 31/03/2020 16:24

Ah thanks other PPs, I’ll try those too

ElspethFlashman · 31/03/2020 16:26

H&M. They have a 20% off kids clothes at the moment and free shipping.

GrumpyHoonMain · 31/03/2020 16:26

I get mine from Amazon (Carters is lovely), Asda, Sainsburys, and Mamas and Papas.

LillyLeaf · 31/03/2020 16:33

I've recently bought from h&m, John Lewis and mamas & papas but I have noticed newborn and 0-3months are out of stock in a lot of online stores.

wondering7777 · 31/03/2020 16:52

I'm finding the same OP. I don't get it - is it normally like this or are people now stockpiling baby clothes? Confused

StarDanced · 31/03/2020 16:56

Tu at Sainsburys and the nutmeg range in morrisons are still doing online orders for delivery. They do some really nice clothes that wash well.

Nelbert19 · 31/03/2020 17:04

Thanks all

Side note : H&M sizing... they seem to do it only one month at a time instead of 0-3 or 3-6? I can’t be buying a whole new wardrobe every month!

2nd Carter's. We got a ton from American family and it was lovely quality and washed and washed. Just size up! We found it ran small.

fedupandlookingforchange · 31/03/2020 17:07

Morrisons baby and toddler clothes are lovely and wash and wear very well. IMO tesco aren't as good quality as the other supermarkets.

SnugglySnerd · 31/03/2020 17:11

I was wondering about this the other day. People are saying clothes aren't essential but it occurred to me my toddlers will need bigger shoes soon and if the weather turns warm my older dd will have no t shirts or short that fit her.
I think my mum ordered clothes last week from Next. Jojo and Zara baby clothes are lovely.

Troels · 31/03/2020 17:16

Online at Debenhams, massive sale going on.
I just got new work shoes mine are shot.
Baby section is on sale too

BeautyAndTheBump1 · 31/03/2020 17:18

This!!!
I came to the reality I have no baby clothes and lockdown probably wont be over by the time I'm due and I've really struggled to get newborn & 0-3 and I tried all the above suggested. I've had to get bits from anywhere possible, and not particularly the clothes I would have chosen if I had the choice :(

Babamamananarama · 31/03/2020 17:29

I appreciate it's not the same as new, and I really do get the desire to shop for your new arrival, but most baby clothes get so little wear as they grow out of them so quickly, and the bundles of baby clothes you can buy on EBay are often in beautiful condition.

There are too many babygros in the world! Everyone buys new and then tries to find places to offload them in a few months time.

My two both had probably 60/70% hand-me-downs from my sister's and friend's kids. Honestly, once you've washed a new pack of baby clothes once you can't tell the difference. And you can feel good about your environmental impact at the same time.

paradisefalls · 31/03/2020 17:32

Tesco, I popped in their today and there's loads of lovely baby bits. Plus you get the points Wink

HappyDinosaur · 31/03/2020 17:35

Sainsburys and Tesco do some lovely things, GAP usually has some good offers too.

CherryCreme · 31/03/2020 17:37

I've been getting some bargains on baby clothes and bundles at the minute on eBay! There isn't as much as usual on there but I think there are a lot of people avoiding bidding, so I've managed to get some bits for 99p! Will be hot washing as soon as they arrive to be safe.
