Mucus plug 27 weeks?

Hi all,

I'm 27 weeks and 2 days with a history of premature labour. I've only ever lost my plug knowingly once and I was 38 weeks.

On Thursday night I lost what I can describe as a lump of clear jelly very slightly tinged pink but after a quick google I was reassured as I had no pain as such.

This morning I had a bit more and have had period type pains on and off all day. Just been to the toilet again and there's more when I wiped. Pains seem a bit worse since then too. Should I call delivery suite? I don't want to go in unnecessarily and I might be being silly but for the past couple of days I've had a gut feeling if that makes sense?

Yes I'd be ringing my midwife, hospital or what ever contact number you've been told to ring if there are any concerns?

Midwife here - with a history of premature labour I'd definitely ring in.

Hey, just seen your post! Hope your well.. what was the outcome if you don't mind me asking?

Hi,

I went in and was monitored for a while which showed contractions but they weren't making me dilate, they examined me and my cervix was closed and they did a test to predict if labour was imminent and that was negative. I've had more since with no pains so I haven't been back up. Best to ring and see what they say though x
