pregnancy and bleeding

I am about 6 weeks pregnant and I started seeing some mild bleeding yesterday (also some in the toilet bowl when sat longer than usual - very scary). Got super freaked out and managed to schedule a scan today. The scan saw a 5 mm baby with a heartbeat (yay!) and nurse dated it as 6 weeks 2 days. However, I am still bleeding very mildly (a bit more due to the vagainal scan) - its not severe and I dont have severe pain. Does this mean I am out of the clear for now? My nurse who did the scan was super nice and made me feel very comfortable - but was very non committal on if a heartbeat necessarily means lower risk. Just wondering how others' experiences has been?

anybody in the same boat or been in the same boat in the past - will be great to hear from you - for my mental peace!

Hiya sorry it’s been so stressful for you! I also had pink spotting at 6 weeks and had a scan which showed a tiny baby with heartbeat measuring about 5.9mm so v close to yours, had another at 7 & 8 and baby has grown. I’ve also had dark brown discharge which scared me to death but again everything was ok. I’m sure I’ve read the miscarriage rate decreases to about 10 percent when seeing a heart beat at 6 weeks x

Hi Ladies

I found out I was pregnant two weeks ago and had brown discharge for a week. It then disappeared for a couple of days and yesterday I had pink spotting. Today I have had some cramping. I panicked and called my doctor who tested my urine to make sure it was a UTI. She has booked me in for a scan tomorrow; I will be exactly 6 weeks. I have my appointment at 10am tomorrow and nervous whether I will see anything or get any reassurance. I thought it might be too early for a heartbeat. I will keep you posted.

Hey ladies, I had same situation started bleeding 6.5 weeks and continued until 13 weeks was told unless it clots not to worry. Bleeding did increase at one point so they checked me over again but all was good and now currently 37.5 weeks pregnant waiting for little man to arrive. Always worth getting checked over but bleeding/spotting doesn't always mean the worst xx
