20 week scan anxiety-just me?

Hi, I hope you’re all safe and well
I have my 20 week scan next Thursday , and I am so nervous !
It’s in fetal medicine and I’m just bricking it !
I had a perfect scan at 12 weeks, 14 weeks (after fainting) and a gender scan at just over 16 weeks and baby girl has been absolutely fine every time yet I’m still worried I’ll get to the scan and there won’t be a heart beat or something !
Can anyone reassure me somehow ?!
I’ve had no cramping , no bleeding, nothing to make me think there’s something wrong yet I’m worried sick still. 😩

Can you not feel her move yet? Any popping type movements?

@Charly82 I have anterior placenta so can’t feel loads but the occasional pop yes . Heard her heart beat on our Doppler too (my husband is trained to use them as he works in midwifery) but we are trying to avoid using it too often as I know there’s no proper evidence on if they’re safe to use daily or not

I have my 20 week scan next Friday. I’ve had no additional scans just my nhs 12 week which went well, kind of wish I’d got an early private scan before all this corona virus kicked off as my partner isn’t allowed to be at my 20 week scan which is making me nervous in case I get any bad news.

I think as you got a 16 week scan that went well that should give you a little more comfort as nothing bad was detected and baby was healthy.

I’ve also no reason to be anxious as had no bleeding or other issues but I think we all worry as it’s such an important stage.

just try to remember the majority or people have no issues and baby will be perfectly fine 👶 good luck!

I am exactly the same....Just had my 20 week scan last Thursday and I was a quivering mess beforehand convincing myself I'd had a MMC and there would be no heartbeat.
I've had scans around 6, 8, 14 and 17 weeks and I'm the same every single time. Despite there being absolutely no reason to be! No cramps, no bleeding, nothing.

Needless to say, everything was absolutely fine and there was no need to worry whatsoever. In fact, baby was moving around so much, they managed to get every measurement but couldn't get a good still look at her face to check for cleft lip etc so I'm going back in a couple of weeks....I know I'll be a bag of nerves again before that one.

I'm 20+5 now with a high anterior placenta so I've felt no movements yet which doesn't help.

I was exactly the same. Had my 12 week scan and a private scan at 17 weeks with all being fine. But didn’t have any movements so was shitting it at my 20 week scan last week, especially panicking about being told there was no heart beat by myself as DH waited in the car. Thankfully all was fine in the end and actually I had a really enjoyable experience. I still haven’t got any movements now and I’ll be 21 weeks tomorrow but I could clearly see baby girl wriggling lots so it’s only a matter of time. Good luck! X
