Missed period, negative home pregnancy tests, isolating due to the coronavirus

Hello,
Please can anyone give us some advice? I’m British (hence I was recommended this site), my wife is American, we live close to New York City. We don’t have kids. My wife is 42, and her menstrual cycle has always been like clockwork – 28 days. Then, suddenly, she missed her last period, due 10th March. We did a few home pregnancy tests more than a week ago now, but they were negative. We’ve just been waiting to see what happens, in isolation at home due to the coronavirus. Today my wife has complained about having some occasional lower abdominal pains, uncomfortable but not constant. Just waiting what we should do next. We don’t really want to go and sit in a doctor’s waiting room right now, nor take the bus or a taxi to the doctor’s office.
Going to the pharmacy to get another home pregnancy test later today.
Any informed opinions on what could be going on, and how long we should wait?
Thank you.

Well my first suggestion was to do another test but I see you are going to get another one. However it could just be down to normal changes.

Thank you. That's what we thought. But it seems strange to go from every 28 days without any delay right up to February, to suddenly being 3 weeks late in March. Thanks for the URL. I've skimmed but will read properly.
