Hi ladies,
I found out 10 days ago i was expecting a baby after trying for 1 year Smile , i was happy but worried that with corona-virus i may have to wait a bit longer for appointments Hmm.
I went to my local Gp very happy to report my pregnancy, the receptionist treated me like i have the virus which i then replied i am pregnant and i want to see the nurse, she said there is no face to face appointments and that its all throw the phone Shock.

As i know my Gp bad call service i decided to do a self referral in my local hospital , that was last week and i was told a midwive appointment will be arranged soon.
I didnt receive the appointment and its being a week, i asked around my whatsapp groups and looks like most of antenatel appointments has being cancelled due to the spread of the virus.

I am scared that i will wait for a long time until a midwive appointment book for me.

Hi OP, didn’t want to read and run as this is such a nervous time for everyone, I know exactly how you’re feeling.
When I found out I was pregnant (I hadn’t even missed AF) I referred myself to the MW but it wasn’t until I was around 6 weeks that they phoned me to arrange my booking appointment (at 8 weeks). So depending on how far you are, it might be that they hang on for a while before reaching out to you?
I had my booking appointment at 8 weeks as planned but since then, everything has changed with coronavirus! My 12 week scan went ahead as scheduled and my 16 week appointment is going to be on time too but may be over the phone instead of person.
How many weeks are you? And congratulations!! Flowers

Hi
I’ve self referred and received my appointment by letter in the post.

Congratulations!
I fell pregnant in the summer and didn’t have my booking in appointment until nearly 11 weeks pregnant. It was fine, it’s really just a lot of form filling at that stage and could very easily be done over the phone. I don’t know how they would do your obs (weight, blood pressure, urine etc) but they are doing their best. It is very daunting, especially when it’s your first

At your stage I wouldn’t worry much, any issues like bleeding and stuff go to A and E. Max you will have is a booking appointment at 8-9 weeks and then a scan at 12 weeks. Would relax wait for your appointment because if you stress no good for yourself and baby. Not much they can do at this stage

I am 11 weeks into my pregnancy , i found out when i was 9+4 weeks.
its my 3rd pregnancy , i lost my son on 2018 age 3 months old thats why i am worried and happy at the same time , i done my calculation and it looks like i am due on October.
