Hi,

Not sure if this is the right place to post but I need some reassurance. I'm 14+5 today and I've had absolutely no sense of taste or smell for 12 days. I rang the advice line at my antenatal clinic and she said it's ,out likely corona, to rest and ring back if I develop anymore symptoms. The only other symptom I have is a bad headache which I've had for about 3 days. The no taste is really starting to stress me out and make me worry that it'll never come back! Has anyone else had this symptom and had their taste return?
Thank you.

Losing your sense of smell and taste is a recognised symptom of Coronavirus. As far as I’m aware it does resolve!

I haven't heard of it as a pregnancy symptom. But it is a corona symptom

The headache is also an early Corona symptom. I would call 111 asap.

I think it is Coronavirus but from what I've read, it's a mild version symptom of younger people. I don't think they are doing anything other than telling you to isolate as she said to me just ring back if you develop any other symptoms. I just wondered if anyone else had the symptom and could give me a time frame, I've spoken to a few other people who have said it took about 2 weeks to come back but they had some coming back slightly whereas it's still nothing for me. Doesn't help I was constantly sick for 5 weeks with 'morning sickness', then I had a UTI, then was tested for gestational diabetes so that was a worry, now this! Just feel like I've been constantly ill for 3 months.
