18+2 - Baby Bump

Just a question as to how far gone you were when you started to see a bump? Im 18+2 and there is no way you would know I was pregnant!

I had a private scan around 16 weeks and all looked perfect, but im just so worried! I am a naturally slim person and have always been a size 8, i never put on weight and don't have to watch what i eat. Anyone similar?

Nobody could tell I was pregnant til way over 30 weeks. 35 now and you can definitely tell, but up until now nobody knew if I didnt tell them! I’m not super slim and I can’t eat what I like and not put in weight either, just a normal build.
Most people I know didnt really show much at 18 weeks though either.

I had the same worry at about 18-20 weeks. Kept seeing all these women with full baby bumps at the same gestation but you couldn't tell I was pregnant. I'm 24 weeks now and there's no mistaking my bump. It'll suddenly just pop.

This was my bump at 21/22 weeks with DD. I was a size 10 before falling pregnant so not fat. I’m now 15 weeks with DC2. I have started to get my morning bump for the last couple of weeks that I didn’t get until around 17 weeks with DD so I think my bump is coming. I’m not the skinniest anymore though so it’s hard to tell if I’ve got a bump or just podgy.

@erised - maybe I will do the same in that case! I just keep looking at my tummy and thinking 'where are you!', haha. when we went for our 12 week scan, I saw women who were there for their 20 week scan and they had bumps.. i'm now about a week and a half from the 20 week scan and i'm still looking like I did at 12! i'm sure people think im making it up!

@BeingATwatItsABingThing - im going to revisit this in 3 to 4 weeks and compare to your bump! such a neat bump you have there. I heard that people show quicker with their 2nd though?

I found it really depended on what I was wearing as to whether or not my bump looked enormous or perfectly round. I absolutely loved my bump and I can’t wait to have it back. It was when I was most body proud. I’ve always hated my body (even when I was skinny and had no reason to) but I loved my bump.
