Anyone else had this pain at 26 weeks pregnant

I am 26 weeks pregnant and for the past 4 days I have had lower back pain constantly and squeezing/tightening to my stomach. It has increased from around every 10 minutes to every 2-3 minutes and is no longer helped by paracetamol. It’s not really painful but definitely very noticeable. I called my midwife who said just to monitor it. I just wondered if anyone else had had it. The baby movements are still there but not yet a regular pattern. Thank you 😊

Sounds like Braxton Hicks. From what I've read, they can start around this time and feel like painless (but uncomfortable) contractions/tightenings. I'm almost 29 weeks and haven't experienced this myself but know it's not uncommon. If they become painful then definitely call triage as they may want you to go into the assessment unit to be monitored.

Hey, i had this exact situation the other day... the midwife asked me to come in to maternity assessment to be assessed as they wanted to rule out early labour.. but turned out to be braxton hicks. I nearly shit myself i legit thought i was going in to labour. Just a lil reassurance! Xx

P.s- i'm also 26+4 xx

Thank you for your replies. Unfortunately they think it maybe premature labour, I am in hospital and it’s awful. My partner isn’t allowed in and all contact with midwives is minimal. It’s quite scary as I’m just abandoned in a room. I hope all your pregnancies are going well Smile

@Whiskeyjayze hopefully they can do something to stop labour progressing at this point 🤞🏼 as hard as it is, you're in the best place x

How is everything op? Have they managed to stop labour? Thinking of you ❤️

Thank you everyone. It’s all ok so far. They slowed down after 2 days so I’m allowed home but am not to do much. I’m just very thankful to the hospital and the midwives. Smile
