Constant anxiety due to previous miscarriage

Hi everyone
I am 6+5 today and have been suffering with anxious thoughts and constant worry that I'm going to lose this baby. I have no other children.
I had a miscarriage in December at 7 weeks and obviously was over the moon to be pregnant again this soon after.
I want to be so happy but it's like I am holding myself back to try to stop it hurting emotionally if something goes wrong.
I had an early scan on wednesday at my EPU as my pregnancy symptoms had disappeared, all was well, could see little kidney bean shaped baby with a flickering heartbeat and this filled me with relief but again I am now anxious!
Any advise on how to get through this would be appreciated because I want to enjoy this pregnancy.

@annabel2019 you've got a lovely scan photo and video to focus on, put all your confidence in the little one and hopefully that'll help with anxiety until next time you see baby. I wish I could take my own advice haha x

Awwww @Annabel2019 so pleased you had a good scan 🌈

LittleGem638 · 13/04/2020 14:12

Hi ladies, just checking in on how everyone is?

I've still being quite anxious, late last week I felt my symptoms decrease and was full of worry that something was wrong. My symptoms have now come back with a vengeance, especially today, I keep nearly vomiting over anything.
I have a private scan booked for Friday so counting down the days :)

Im hanging in there ... this is week 5 of isolation for me so really feeling it now.

I've also got a scan on Friday afternoon at window to the womb. So so nervous ... this week is a difficult one for me as im in my 8th week and it was this week last time where we miscarried.

Just want Friday to come round quick!

LittleGem638 · 14/04/2020 11:46

Its my 5th week of isolation as well, and I think I'm slowly going insane.
We will have to share our scan pics on friday, mine's at 5:15pm. Hopefully this week will go fast.
I struggled at 7 weeks as that's when I lost my first pregnancy but I feel like I'm struggling all throughout with having a missed miscarriage. I'm just worrying that something could be wrong at any point.
Let's get through this first trimester ❤

I've had the same OP- am currently 30 weeks pg and still have some anxiety about the baby not making it. Feel anxious about all the baby stuff I am now buying in case I jinx it. I don't think about it every day anymore now though as I can feel baby moving which is reassuring. I had three previous mc.

LittleGem638 · 14/04/2020 12:34

@Pegase thanks for joining us! You definitely dont have long to go but I can understand your anxiety. Just think how worth it it will be once your rainbow baby is in your arms.
I know given the current situation with covid that that will be putting an added layer of anxiety on top of how feel you're feeling but I hope you are finding time to relax and look forward to meeting your baby.
I can imagine feeling baby move helps with the anxiety, I cant wait to hopefully get to that point in this pregnancy x

I’m soooo bored but feel safe at home so even if isolation gets lifted I feel like I’d stay at home at least until first trimester is over. Im sure both your scans will be great - i had a smile on my face for a full 24 hours after mine last Thursday and I have felt so much better since, albeit still anxious but defo not as much. I found out about my MMC at 11 weeks last time so I’m thinking of booking another scan for 11 weeks and it can’t come quick enough. I’m 9+1 today WHY IS IT GOING SO SLOWLY?!!!

Hope you’re all good x

MissSparkles81 · 14/04/2020 13:16

@LittleGem638 mines is at 4.45pm. I deliberatley booked the 1st appointment of the day so that we would be 1st in so the place should be nice and clean and no germs kicking about lol.

Paranoia eh?

@Annabel2019 I don't see the lockdown being lifted well into May at the earliest. Im in Scotland and our first minister has said that the restrictions will continue for at least the next 3 weeks ... Im sure westminster will announce similar later this week.

Due to my other health conditions I will be at home for the full 12 weeks but it would be nice for some restrictions to be lifted so can at least get in the car and go a wee drive or something.

I swear I used to moan all the time about the 2ww but this is something else!!

Annabel2019 · 16/04/2020 21:05

God my morning sickness is the worst this week! Feeling so sorry for myself and it’s so hard with having to work and look after my son 😐 really hoping I’ve only got a few more weeks left of this all day nausea. Is anyone else suffering from morning sickness? Good luck for your scans tomorrow x

MissSparkles81 · 17/04/2020 14:01

@LittleGem638 good luck for your scan later today 🌈

@Annabel2019 mines doesn't kick in till the afternoon and evening which is bizzare. I managed to get some anti sickness tablets from the Gp. I havnt actually been sick but the nausea is awful! I was lying in bed last night deep breathing to try and make it stop!

Speak to your GP and see if there is anything they can prescribe you xx

LittleGem638 · 17/04/2020 14:13

@misssparkles81 you too, we will have to update once weve been.
My symptoms over the last two days have gone, other than feeling bloated so I'm really worried that something is wrong x

Awww @LittleGem638 what a lovely clear photo!

Happy to report that our scan was brilliant too. Everything looks ok and measuring bang on 9 weeks which is what I will be tomorrow.

Such a relief 🌈🌈

This thread gives me so much hope. I'm 7w1d and have previously had 2 miscarriages ending at baby measuring around 6 weeks. So happy to hear you both had scans that show all is well. I'm hoping to hold on to my 12 weeks scan, unless I get any bad signs, but I'm hoping all will be well! Congratulations ladies.

LittleGem638 · 17/04/2020 19:50

@Sundance5 thank you, cant believe how much we could see!

@misssparkles81 so glad your scan went well as well, what a gorgeous little baba ❤ so glad I went for mine, worth every penny, I bet you feel the same xx

@RunnerGirl123 welcome to the thread. Sorry for your previous losses. Really hope this one sticks 🤞 for you, for all of us really.

I’ve just booked another private scan for 2 weeks time - I’ll be 11+4. The one I had at 8 weeks gave me so much reassurance and I want my husband to be able to see the baby a bit more formed as he isn’t allowed to the NHS 12 week one 😢 2 long weeks to wait! X

Annabel2019 · 17/04/2020 21:44

@MissSparkles81 yay so glad all went well! Congrats 🥳 bet you’re feeling so happy this evening x enjoy!

MissSparkles81 · 18/04/2020 07:57

Welcome to the thread @RunnerGirl123 congratulations on your pregnancy and I really hope everything works out for you 🌈

Thank you for the lovely messages ladies. I still cant believe I have another 4 weeks to wait for my 12 week scan. I swear time is moving so slowly ..
