Morning ladies I know the hospital staff should be taking precautions with gloves and masks (have you found they do if you have had a scan recently?) so I was just wondering if you did/should we aswell?

Hi,

I had my anomaly scan yesterday and none of the staff were wearing masks, however they were washing hands constantly and using hand sanitiser, then gloves when performing my scan.

I was asked to use sanitiser on arrival to the maternity reception desk and before entering the scan room.

The sonographer had totally wiped down and sanitised the room and bed before I lay down also :)

Hope this helps xx

I have mine on the 6th. Are they allowing partners in with you for the scan?

I have my scan on Tuesday and called today to check. I have been told that scans are going ahead but I have to attend by myself.

Best to check with your hospital

I had my 12 week scan on Wednesday. No partner allowed, had to wait in the car. Appointment was over an hour late as they're cleaning the room thoroughly in between every appointment. Got given a reel of pictures free to show other half. The sonographer was wearing gloves and a face mask, but was really lovely and kind. Hope it goes well for you
