Would a doctor even see me?

Hi all. I'm 30 weeks pregnant, and about 7 weeks ago had a nasty cold with bad sinuses, headaches, dizziness, and was physically exhausted (I don't think it was Covid-19, as I had no fever). It lasted about a week. Since the end of the illness, I've had what I assumed was postnasal drip which is causing a lot of coughing and it hasn't gone away.

If this happened at any other time, I would see a doctor as it's lasted a long time. However, I've been social distancing and as I am not in any way on death's door, have not wanted to add to the NHS.

My husband thinks I should see a doctor, as it's been a long time that I've been coughing and he's concerned as I am pregnant and therefore "vulnerable". But would a doctor even see me? As my only symptom for the past 6 weeks is coughing, I doubt they would let me see a doctor because it's also a symptom of Coronavirus. I just want to do what's right for my baby and myself. Any advice?

Most GPS are doing a telephone triage so it’s worth calling to find out 😊 not sure what they can really do to help mind yoh

I would ring your GP. They may be able to recommend something over the phone without needing to assess you e.g a steroid nasal spray
