Pregnancy after c-section, how long to wait?

I have been told by HV who used to be a midwife, that you only have to wait 6 months after a c-section, before being pregnant again.

But I see some are told to leave it 2 years!

Which is it?

I have 15 months between my two boys, so was 5 months post sention when I fell with number 2.

I was OK, no pain in my scar, however, did have a fialed VBAC and a second section.

I have been told 12 months, but exactly like TMH, I too have nearly 15 mo between mine and a failed vbac. But the pg was absolutely fine, if a bit tiring with a little baby to look after as well, especially during the latter stages when ds1 was not quite walking/just walking and still needing a lot of carrying. I also found the 1st trimester much more tiring than I had in 1st pg.

Thanks for your replies.

I can see that it would very hard work having them so close together. I will leave a while longer..enjoy this one for a bit more for now.
