Hi, I was diagnosed with Cholestasis just last week 25 weeks pregnant, this is my 2nd pregnancy and as far as I'm aware I never had it first pregnancy but delivered 10 days early. I've had itching since about 16 weeks, but was told this is too early to be diagnosed when I called at 24 weeks was told to come straight up got bloods & found out couple days later I had it, couple days past then I had an appointment with consultant who said I'll get growth scans, bloods etc & been put on mediciation, antihistamines and been given some cool gel.. I'm demented at night it's stopping me sleeping! But was wondering if anyone else had similar story, also did you get induced at 37 weeks or did you go on your own? Also what weights were the baby's? Thanks Smile

Hey

Going through pretty much the same, itching since 15 weeks and told too early for ICP - even though I had it last pregnancy. Last time I went into labour the night before I was going to be induced, baby just over 7lbs. I was 37 weeks exactly. Haven't had final diagnosis yet at 23 weeks but having regular testing as my blood test results are abnormal and my liver scan was clear so I'm pretty sure I've got ICP again! The itching is horrible! Flowers

@MrsBudd

Thanks for your reply, that's a great weight for being 37 weeks! I'm going out my mind with the itching, my growth scan for next week has now also been cancelled due to COVID-19.. everything has been getting to me these days and being itchy constantly is not helping. X

@MI922 it's a crazy time to be pregnant isn't it! The itching is awful, hopefully the meds and gel will help to ease it for your soon. I'm hoping I will be given some when I have my appointment at 25 weeks!

I only had it at the end of my pregnancy so can't be much help. Look up ICP support on Facebook - it's run by a charity who have the most up-to-date information. I don't think growth scans are standard but blood tests are important.
