Is diarrhoea normal in early pregnancy?

Hi everyone,

This is my first time posting and I'm a first time mum, so hi!. I'm currently 6 weeks pregnant, for the last week I've been having diarrhoea about 3x's a day. I called the doc and they said just to keep an eye on it and drink lots. Did anyone else have diarrhoea in the first trimester? I'm worried I might be unwell and not know it.

Absolutely it was my first sign!

Yeah I had it, I wouldnt worry!
It tends to be that or constipation.

Yes!!! I had it awfully for about 1 weeks from about 4.5-5.5 weeks and it was so bad I lost almost 2kg during that time, I was at a total loss because it was just constant and no one seemed to have a solution for me but luckily it only lasted a week and only happens occasionally now - I’m 11 weeks at the moment. Hope you’re ok.

Yep, I had it, now 15 weeks.

🙋🏻‍♀️ - 5+3 and been like it for nearly a week. Trying to drink plenty to stay hydrated

Yes, I had it too and still get it occasionally (now 20 weeks)

I called it my version of morning sickness!!

3/4 x a day throughout my first trimester!

Pregnacare vitamins made it worse btw!! The Max stuff was like a laxative xx

It was for me! Badly, for the first 8 weeks or so. Now I'm just horrendously constipated!

I had the exact same thing !

5+5 weeks and had diarrhea for the past 3 days, thankfully it is now easing up.
