Worried baby measuring too small

Hi all,

I had an early scan yesterday at what i thought was 7 weeks. Saw the heartbeat but measured 5.3mm so was dated at 6 weeks 1 day. I could be out with my dates but was fairly certain. Does this sound like the right size as I’m worried it’s too small?

At that stage its hard to get accurate measurements, its very common for the dates to be out by a few days to a week. I am sure by your 12 week scan things would have evened out.
I was out by a few days at the very early stages, then by 12 week scan I was a few days over, at the end of the pregnancy baby was measuring small and was weeks behind but he was born perfectly.

Don't worry and congratulations!

I had an early scan at what I thought was 7+5 but baby only measured 6+1. I was so scared about it but plenty of posters on here reassured me with similar experiences.
I went back 2 weeks later and baby had grown proportionately and was measured at 8+2 with a really strong heartbeat.

By the time I had my dating scan, baby had caught up by a week so was somewhere between the two!

I'm now 20 weeks.
