Headaches

Hi All,

I hope everybody is keeping well amongst this madness!

I'm 17 weeks and 4 days and have my 16 week appointment this Saturday by phone so no tests etc. I've been having headaches for the last couple of days which do go away with paracetamol (not that i want to be taking loads :( )... I've never had headaches before even when on the pill etc. but I'm wondering whether these are just hormonal and nothing to worry about.

Has anyone else had this?

Headaches are really common in pregnancy. And good they go away with paracetamol. I think if you experienced visual disturbances like flashing lights or something that would be a concern but otherwise headaches are normal.

Yes me! Never get headaches but a lot more prone to them this pregnancy. Sometimes even migraines which are awful. Are you drinking enough? I just find I'm more easily dehydrated now.

I am prone to headaches but didn’t get any all pregnancy until about 16 weeks and then got bad ones for a month or so and just like that they improved. The consultant said there is big hormonal surges and peak in second tri!
