Hi,

I and my partner have been trying for pregnancy for 10 years. We had 3 failed IUI, one successful IVF (although resulted in early m/c) in 2015/16. We did IVF last month again. Had two 5 days blastocysts. One of them was frozen. Other one was transferred on 9-Mar. Did the home pregnancy test on 17-March (boots one as well as CB digital). Both came back positive. Did another test on 20-March for reassurance (boots one only). Got relatively darker line.

Tested again on 24-March. Tests cane negative, not even a faint line (did with both boots one and CB digital).

Have early pregnancy scan scheduled for 7-Apr and have been asked to continue Progesterone suppositories until then.

I was hoping that at least faint line will show up in subsequent tests since I had BFP initially.

Did I possibly have a miscarriage? Or could it be something else?

Sounds like a chemical pregnacy Flowers

I had IVF back last June and had BFP, sadly it started to fade and eventually became BFN. As previous poster said it was a chemical pregnancy. Hopefully that’s not the case for you OP, I had spotting that turned into bleeding. Try not to lose hope just yet and fingers crossed it will be good news for you at the scan. IVF is really tough, but I ended up pregnant naturally 2 months later and am due in 8 weeks so miracles do happen! Try and stay positive, good luck Flowers

That sounds like a chemical pregnancy - where you have a positive and quite quickly the test becomes negative, it happened to me and even though it’s so early it’s still totally heartbreaking. I had bleeding though as well so, like a previous poster said, miracles are not impossible.
Since that happened to me, I’m now 11 weeks pregnant with a FET and everything seems fine so far.
