Hi - I know we're allowed to leave the house for medical appointments, but my concern is safety in hospital environments with CV19 going on - if you have an appointment / scan coming up are you still going in?

I think I definitely will I just want to check what others thing. Feels wrong being 'at risk', having to self isolate only to leave the house and visit the one place potentially harbouring a lot of CV germs?

I had one today. No partners were allowed in the hospital, even for scans. Over half the chairs had been taken away in the waiting room and the ones that were left were spaced 2m apart. All medical staff wore gloves and masks.

It was surreal.

The check ups are important to you and the baby so make sure you keep the appointments. I have one today and the midwife called yesterday to check whether anyone in the house had symptoms and to confirm we are still going ahead. Try not to worry too much, they are being very cautious with maternity care.

Yes, the hospital will cancel or rearrange if they have reason to think it isn't safe. Just make sure to change clothes and have a shower as soon as you are home. They are important, anything that can be cancelled is across the board, and midwives here are doing any apps they can over the phone if it's safe.
