Due date confusions

My EDD from my last period was 24/09/20 - I had an early scan at what I thought was 9 weeks and was put a week ahead and they gave me a due date of 16/09- then had the 12 week dating scan and was put forward another 3 days so now due 13/09. With my first, the dates were pretty much spot on but I don't get how I can be so far forward to what my ovulation would have been. I'm scared of it being moved forward again at the 20 week then going into labour early. I'm ready for the baby in September. We need time at the end of the summer to get the room ready and buy stuff with all this going on.

Anyone else had their dates so far forward?

Your 12 week scan dates will be most accurate. Your date won't be moved again at 20 weeks as after 12 weeks all babies grow at different rates - if your baby is measuring big you'll be given a higher percentile and your DD will stay the same. I wouldn't worry too much tbh, full term is considered anything between 37 and 42 weeks so you've got a 5 week window to have the baby in where it will be considered 'on time'. Be prepared for it to come any time from 37 weeks, but don't worry too much about individual due dates!

If your due date is 13th September you need to be prepared for the baby to come any time from 23rd August, and that's presuming it doesn't come early...

The dating scan around 12 weeks is apparently the most accurate.

My EDD from LMP was 11th Aug but then had 2 early scans which put me back to 21st Aug.

Dating scan gave me an EDD of 13th Aug so that's the one I'm going with lol (in reality, I'll be mantally prepared for anytime from late July to late Aug) x
