Anyone else pregnant with suspected Coronavirus?

Hi,

I'm 13 weeks pregnant and have been suffering with strong Covid-19 symptoms for five days now having felt a little run down for a few more days prior. Touch wood I'm not too feverish anymore but exhausted, coughing frequently and generally feeling under the weather. Is anyone else in the same boat?

Advice from my midwife and gp has simply been to take paracetamol, keep up food and fluids and rest rest rest. It's really hard to not worry about the baby but I'm hoping and praying that all will be well....

I feel like I might have caught it....lots of body aches but not very high fever. I'm not sure where to get advice from as can't get through to GP.

Booked in for a monitoring scan at the hospital due to some complications, but not sure if I should go in now??

Hope you feel better soon :)

I'm 12+2 and feel like I have a cold. Runny nose, headaches, tired.
My scan is supposed to be next week so I'm not sure what to think.

Please do not go to the hospital without ringing ahead and making them aware of your situation and asking them for advice. If you do have it you are risking passing it onto midwives and other MTBs.

We need to keep this out of maternity units for as long as possible before tougher restrictions come in and birthing partners are banned.

Freeshavocado · 24/03/2020 20:36

@maakidua do not go to the hospital!! Not unless you have rang them and they have still told you to come in.

triedandtestedteacher · 24/03/2020 20:40

I think I've had it. I was very tight chested last week and felt unwell. I feel better now but I've lost my sense of taste and smell which apparently is a symptom of you've had it mild

ParisInTheSpringtime · 24/03/2020 20:42

Yes. I have had tight chest, coughing and fever. Feeling much better now - just like a very short lived flu for me. I am 7+3.

Avocuddles · 25/03/2020 12:01

Glad to hear you're all doing ok. I'm on day 6 now and still not feeling at all good - cough is relentless, I'm exhausted to the point that simply breathing takes all my energy, and still no taste or smell 😞

@Treaclepie19 @maakidua your hospital will be able to push back your appointment until you're out of the isolation period. As others have said you definitely shouldn't be risking spreading anything.....

@Avocuddles I definitely wouldn't go with symptoms. I was more thinking I don't have a cough or fever so according to the guidance I don't need to be isolating.
As it is I'm not leaving the house until my scan anyway so even if I had symptoms from yesterday 7 days would be up by then.

Avocuddles · 25/03/2020 12:52

@Treaclepie19 after 7 days you should be fine. Good luck for the scan!

Sorry for jumping on this, I haven't had any symptoms but just a worried pregnant lady...wonder how you all are? @Avocuddles I hope you are improved and feeling more like yourself, that sounds awful x

hi all, just joined mumnet 😁
I am 9 weeks pregnant had very mild cough last week but I've now also lost my sense of smell though otherwise I feel perfectly fine. I'm supposed to have my first blood test next week but not sure if I'm supposed to go or wait another 7 or 14 days? confusing times........
