31 weeks and low weight baby

Hi ladies,

sorry need some reassurance or experiences.
Sunday night went to hospital with reduce movement, they kept me there for few hours and heart rate was fine, so went home and they asked me to have a scan yesterday to measure amniotic fluid and cord flow,

i went to hospital yesterday and thought, oh well, 10 minutes scan to tell me everything is ok, but it wasnt.

Baby has dropped on his growth curve and is below 10%, so they/ we are worried to say the least.

Saw consultant and she started to talk about steroids, delivering weeks early.... i was in shock like all that was not happening to me. Also they checked my blood pressure and was high, so have to go on Friday for blood pressure check and Monday for another growth scan.

Any of you lovely ladies been trough similar situation and little one was born early but OK? im not 32 yet and panicking with the idea, my little boy is only 3 pounds. how many weeks was yours delivered?

I had a friend exactly like this and they told her baby would only be 5lbs or so baby came out 8lbs 10oz so even scan can be very wrong xx

My baby is measuring small on 8th percentile and said if I go to full time will be around 6lb. I got another scan next week when I am 33weeks to see what they say. I have to go alone too...

Raindancer411 - sorry you are also in this situation and going on your own to hospital appointments. my consultant didn't mention full term, she talked about steroids to mature lungs and early delivery. on the scan yesterday they confirmed good blood flow on card and good level of amniotic fluid.

hope your scan goes well on next week. i also have one on Monday

@mvilma6 The sonograph person just said all looked good and nothing about any meds or early delivery so will see what happens next week.
