Will this effect my maternity pay?

Due to the virus our store is now only open for 6 hours a day instead of 8. If my pay is dropping then will it effect my SMP? I'm currently 23 weeks pregnant.

I think if it falls into your qualifying weeks it might, there’s an online calculator on the government website you can use to work it out I think.

I think it would - I just found out this morning I am getting a pay cut for the next 12 months and currently in the qualifying weeks so it will affect my maternity leave pay. Obviously stressful but glad I'm not losing my job completely.

Worked out as an average of your earnings between 17 and 25 weeks

Thank you. Will that just effect the 6 weeks of maternity pay?

@erised yes it will only impact the first 6 weeks before you go on standard SMP (I'm presuming your zonal this doesn't have an extended package)
