Constant tightening 38 weeks

I'm 38+2 weeks and been having constant tightening the past 24 hours; the top of my bump has just been constantly tight with no break. Has anybody else had this?

Do you have constant abdominal pain too? Plus a contraction that isn't letting up? If so (and even it not) call the labour ward for advice.
