Hi ladies,

Can anyone please help with a query. I was working full time in London but decided to quit my job two weeks ago because of coronavirus and now I have applied to temporary claim universal credit.

I hope to get my maternity allowance from May (but it will be probably backdated due to coronavirus)

My query is, if I have claimed universal credit for only one month am I still entitled to the sure start grant?

Yes you are, once you've had confirmation that your claim is set up and approved then you can apply for your sure start maternity grant.
