Hi ladies... hope you're all holding up during this crazy time.

I'm just starting to stock up on nappies for the imminent arrival of my little girl and was wondering what people recommend I use for a newborn and what size I should get... fingers crossed I even get a choice with all this craziness. Thanks in advance. X

I’ve just bought two small packets of size 1 to begin with

I went for size 1 nappies for my newborn. Think they fit babies that weigh 4lb to 11lb so thought that covered both basis. My baby came out at 6lb 11oz and they are a bit on the large side but they are an okay fit for now.

I've ordered a few packs of size 1s and size 2s and also some reusable nappies. I may not need them but would rather have the option and not be panicking if I cant get hold of some.

are you planning on using disposable or reusable? if reusable, i would recommend the totsbots newborn kit, and a couple of their overnight nappies as well as a few of their disposable liners for easy changing. if disposable, then the pingo nappies are great since they are pretty cheap and eco friendly

sleepismysuperpower1 · 22/03/2020 18:16

whoops, i misread the post! thought you were asking for recommendations rather than sizing Blush

Piesandpants · 22/03/2020 20:31

My baby was 9lbs when born and was in size 1 for a week or so. A couple packs of both size 1 and 2 might be a good start.

Thanks ladies that really helps :) yes @sleepismysuperpower1 I was asking both... maybe I should made that clearer in my original post. I was looking at disposable nappies but will definitely look into reusable too. Thanks for your advice :) x
