Need maternity clothes but don’t want to go to the shops!

Obviously given everything that is happening right now I’m avoiding shopping centres and self isolating :)

However I’m slowly running out of clothes 😩 I hadn’t really even gave it a thought until recently after trying on half my wardrobe, I’m down to one pair of jogger pants that (just) fit and am wearing my boyfriends hoodies and pyjama pants around the house as my tops are slowly getting tighter and tighter too (I’m almost 20 weeks)

What is everyone else doing in this situation? Are online shops still delivering? Or amazon? I wanna get some cheap basic oversized tops/dresses and leggings that will last me so that I don’t have to order again hopefully!

I want to go for walks to make the isolating more bearable but I don’t know if it’s acceptable to walk around in men’s XL batman pyjama bottoms that trail the floor (I’m only 5 foot) and a hoodie that comes down to my knees 😂

Hi when i was pregnant a few years ago i found most shops actually didnt stock mat clothes anymore and its all online anyway

Its acceptanble to dress anyway you wish as long as your comfy!! But delivery is definately still happening and I rated Next Asos and Mama and papas for mat clothes

Shinyletsbebadguys · 22/03/2020 14:21

Online shops are still delivering although I suspect that would be curtailed in a couple of weeks. I would suggest ordering if you can just a couple of bits.

However , forget the virus, when I was pregnant I still maintain it was entirely acceptable to indulge my inner comic book geek and I would consider you styling in batman pyjama bottoms of whatever length Grin , seriously though dint worry too much if you do have to bend the rules sartorially , I made myself get into adult clothes today because I am sick of the loungewear from working at home and staying in isolation. However most people I know have barely looked at proper clothes in a week (accepting the brave keyworkers ). And I'm not remotely pregnant !

Next online have lots of maternity wear, look in the clearance section too on their website. Get it delivered next day

strawberry2017 · 22/03/2020 14:25

There are barely any shops that have maternity clothes in, best looking online anyway x

userabcname · 22/03/2020 14:31

I got all mine on Asos - most places don't stock maternity wear anyway.

RhymingRabbit3 · 22/03/2020 14:32

Ebay?

Bec1710 · 22/03/2020 14:51

Some good suggestions already but also recommend Asda, Boohoo and Dorothy Perkins. I got some really comfy leggings and longer tops from Asda.

cookiesaurus · 22/03/2020 16:05

I'm in the same position 😬 but thankfully I have my old mat clothes in storage so will dig them out. I found H & M to be great for maternity wear last time and bought most of my things there. Also Tesco was good for everyday dresses but just sized up a little.

AJTracey · 22/03/2020 16:06

Asos

LolaSmiles · 22/03/2020 16:06

eBay is good for maternity clothes bundles and it's delivered to your door.

Rachael321 · 22/03/2020 18:27

Next have a good sale on online just now and lots of maternity stuff on it

FraterculaArctica · 22/03/2020 18:28

What size are you? I have a bundle of maternity stuff I can send if the right size. Pm me if you want.

Firsttimemama2017 · 22/03/2020 18:49

Asos is your friend here! Like others have said there isn't much in the shops these days anyway. George at asda also have some decent cheap things!

As above, most shops (unless we're talking about maternitywear specialists like JojoMamanBebe) dont even have maternity stuff in stock, so ordering online is the best thing. I got some second hand on ebay, some from Next and some from Dorothy Perkins and Asos.

CrazyKitkatLady · 22/03/2020 19:36

I got some good stuff from new look fairly cheaply

KatyButton · 22/03/2020 21:14

I ordered some maternity leggings and bras from h&m online yesterday and they’re already on their way. Free postage too x
