Hi all
We have a moses basket which im thinking of using downstairs but would you have a next to me crib upstairs or the cot with a sleepyhead? Or just carry the moses basket up and down?
Thank you x

On you or in the sling or in the buggy for all of ours!
They’re also meant to be in the same room as you for all sleeps till six months as per SIDS guidelines.

Sorry, totally misread and thought you meant for just for naps.
Next to me will probably do you longer and might be easier to get them to sleep to begin with.

We had a Moses downstairs and a next to me upstairs - it was perfect for us

I don't think sleepyheads are recommended because of the risk of SIDS. At least not for anything more than naps where you can observe the baby

I had a moses basket upstairs and sleepy head on sofa for naps during the day, my baby would not sleep in her moses basket at all so we got a bedside cot which she sleeps in lovely.
I think the sleepy head was way too comfy and is the reason she wouldn't sleep in moses basket,
If i was to do it over, I would use moses basket down stairs and have bed side cot upstairs from the start.

Next to me crib with a sleepyhead in it. I also had a Moses basket downstairs.

Sleepyhead's aren't recommended by the Lullaby Trust (no nests are) but there have been no reported deaths due to them and they are completely breathable (try it yourself).

Also by the time she was 8 weeks old she had outgrown her moses basket, she is 4 months old now and a big girly but has still got loads of room in the bedside crib, I got the babylo co sleeper from Smyth's toy shop and it's great and only £90.

We just carried the Moses basket up and downstairs. Then we got a cot eventually. Nothing else.

Ours sleeps all over the place 🙈 (4 months)
In his moses basket (apparently he doesn't mind being crammed in there 🤷🏼‍♀️) or in bed with me during the night.
For naps, in the sling when he was smaller, or on someone's chest, on the bed, in the car seat (very carefully supervised), on his playmat on the floor...
We use the possums approach so don't follow wake windows or any other kind of schedule, just provide lots of stimulation during the day and plenty of opportunities to fall asleep as and when he feels tired.
