How much bigger will my bump get?

I’ve ordered two nighties for the birth. I’m 34 weeks now, have a large bump and the fit is good with a bit of extra room. How much bigger is my bump likely to get between now and the birth? I’m wondering if I should have gone for the next size up, but if I don’t get much bigger then the ones I’ve got will be fine.

Mine definitely grew a lot in the final 7 weeks (I went at 41 weeks). Nothing seemed to fit at the end I just wore my husband's clothes!

Hi :) with my prev (and first) baby I started off at a size 8-10 (oh for those days!)... by the end I ended up wearing size L men's T-shirt's and size 16-18 leggings 🙈

That was during the last couple of weeks or so...

I had a 56” waist at the end, normally a size 12

It seems to really depend on the individual. I was an 8-10 pre pregnancy and bought maternity clothes in that size which fit me all the way upto the birth. I gained most of my weight early on when the sickness was at its worst and I could only stomach carbs, but it slowed right down towards the end. If you're in any doubt I'd be tempted to order the next size just incase, better too big than too small

Thanks Rottie. I wanted the next size up but they’d already sold out unfortunately.

My maternity clothes that I bought when I was around 18 weeks still fit easily too and like you, I seemed to gain most of my weight early on. In fact I haven’t put on any weight for the last couple of weeks Confused
