Sickness gone - at 8 weeks?!

I am a noob to Mumsnet, and this is my first post! Hello! I was wondering whether it is unusual for morning sickness to stop at 8 weeks? There is a possibility that I am further along, by about 4 weeks (so 12 weeks) - would this symptom disappearing be evidence that I am? My dating scan isn’t until mid April, god willing with all that’s going on. Looking forward to see what wisdom you mums can offer. X

On previous pregnancy’s my sickness literally went overnight at 12 weeks so may indicate you are a bit further a long than 8 weeks but if not o reckon it’s nothing to worry about just count yourself lucky it’s gone early!

I’m 9weeks. My sickness and all pregnancy Symptoms went at 6/7weeks. I feel completely normal, to some extent.

I’ve had quite a few scans due to being high risk, and everything has been fine. My consultant and midwife told me that it’s normal for some people not to have any symptoms, and they can appear at any stage. So try not to worry, or read too much into it.

If your looking / wanting the combined screening tests, there is only a two week window for some of these. So would advise you get an earlier scan, if your thinking your further along. My friend just got told she couldn’t have the screening as she was over 14weeks.

Congratulations 🎉 xx

@gg321 - That's interesting, maybe I am at 12? Either way, thank you! I'm feeling like a winner! V lucky Smile

@DressingGown87 Ah so I am not alone. You're right, I should press for sooner, but I'm in a bit of a pickle. Have only recently registered at St Thomas', and have not been assigned a midwife, just booked in for my scan! This is as I had been living in Leeds (until tomorrow!), and only had one appointment so far. I am going to try and register at the GP in London on Monday, but not sure what will be happening as they are only doing phone consultations! In need of a midwife and GP, so hope the GP practice are sympathetic. Thank you so much and CONGRATS to you! xxx

@NearerTheMoon thank you! Is there any possibility you could book a private scan for reassurance? Good luck with everything and the move.

@DressingGown87 that is a good idea, I’ll check if places are still offering. All moved and even began unpacking! My partner is exhausted but I raise him to a knackered! Are you South or North based?

@NearerTheMoon I’m in the north west. There are quite a few private scan places, have a google and you can usually book on line. Most are still open for now, up here anyways. You’ll have to have a rest once unpacked!
