Sex of baby told at 13 week scan

Just had my scan and was told the sex of our baby but told it's not 100% accurate. Has anyone else been told the sex of their baby at 13 weeks and it turned out to be right/wrong?

13 weeks is way too early

I wouldn’t guarantee it. Take it with a pinch of salt

Yes. Not told outright but heavily hinted at. Not had it confirmed by birth yet, but we were told the same sex at the 20 week scan by a different sonographer.

Yes for both mine and 100% accurate. I'm guessing they said boy? I don't think they say that early unless they can be sure. Even I saw it for my second 🤣

I asked at 13 week scan they nope too early to tell

SamSamA · 20/03/2020 12:24

Iano yeah she said boy. I already have a 4 year old son so slightly hoping she's wrong. I mean I don't want to sound.....ungrateful? So I'll be happy either way but still hoping for a girl.

I had the NIPT at 11 weeks and found out- that isnt a scan.

No way they can tell with 100% accuracy at a 13wk scan.
With my first baby I was told likely a girl at 13 wks - there was definitely a willy by 20 wks though Smile

Yea I mean there was no mistaking it tough, he was legs wide apart as soon as the scan started

ClaraLane · 20/03/2020 13:37

We were told via hints at 12 week scan (13+3 according to gestation) and told the same thing at a private scan so I’d say they could be right.

My son was not shy at showing "it" at 13 weeks and you could definitely tell
