Intense cramping / back pain but AF not until 7-9 days

Hi all

I'm new to here do not sure how this works but I've been reading some posts on early cramping

I was due to ovulate 11th Feb according to Flo app, this changed to 13th Feb after adding more info. I haven't been body temping or anything, just going by the app.. and had sex twice in between that time. I was very dry after the second time we had sex, maybe just too much friction Grin

My body hasn't been feeling right. I felt nothing significant up until 2 days ago, but on and off cramping through out- sometimes just dull. I haven't got sore boobs, just a slightly sensitive left nipple and they feel ever so slightly heavier. But I have had quite bad, what feels like, AF cramping? ConfusedI don't usually have bad cramps even when I do get my period but past two days I've gotten back pain very similar to what feels like period pain. My period is usually a 28-29 cycle.. so if my period comes now this is pretty early for me

It was quite bad this morning, the cramping and back pain.. disturbed my sleep and I have found myself feeling very exhausted, yawning a lot and have a metallic taste in my mouth, but could just be my period looming... I do feel a bit nauseous at the moment but again, could be period! I'm literally putting all my money on the fact my period is going to come.. me and OH are not planning on any pregnancies, but it wouldn't be upsetting if I was pregnant

I feel like I am awaiting the grief of not being pregnant though, so sad developing an attachment to something even though it may not be happening Blush

Has anyone else ever experienced strong period pain like symptoms which led to a BFP?

Could be pregnant- you have a lot of the symptoms.
However from personal experience, it’s easy to have all the symptoms when you’re looking for them hoping for a positive result.
I’ve had every symptom under the sun during previous cycles and all ended up being non-pregnancy related
Don’t get me wrong, there is a chance you could be pregnant so yours might be pregnancy/implantation symptoms. I’m just saying don’t get too over excited analysing all your symptoms because it could leave you disappointed

The cramps / back pain have momentarily disappeared... but I do have tinges of pain in my lower stomach. When would it be appropriate to test? I don't want to just test for the sake of it as you're right I don't want to set myself up for disappointment... Sad

If I were you I’d at least wait until your period is due Flowers
if you test really early like some people do like 6/7/8/9 etc DPO and it’s positive then you’ll want to keep testing to make sure it’s not a chemical pregnancy.
If you test early and it’s negative, you’ll want to keep testing closer to your period to see whether the result changes
