If this is a wanted pregnancy then I see no reason not to continue with it. It is a scary time but don't let Coronavirus be a reason to put your life on hold. Just take the recommended precautions and advice regarding social distancing and personal hygiene and you'll be fine.

There is no evidence that covid-19 has any more of a negative effect on pregnant women than anyone else and also no evidence that the virus can cross the placenta and effect the baby even if you were to contract it so try to not worry too much, just keep up to date with the government advice.

Congratulations!

Also just found out. Though I am delighted as we have been trying for a while. Spoke to my GP and she said that the advice is to self isolate in the 3rd trimester but until then to follow the current advice for everyone, i.e. hand washing, social distancing.

Agree that if it's a wanted pregnancy then there's no reason not to continue OP. Are you able to social distance? I'm in the 2nd trimester but not really worried as I am social distancing and think although pregnant women are slightly more likely to pick it up, we're no more likely to be more poorly from what they know.

@FilthyforFirth I don't think that's been anywhere in the guidance. I thought from the guidance they were saying all pregnancy women, but it seems to be them because cautious as we don't know enough. There doesn't seem to be any data on the first or second trimester yet.

If this is a wanted pregnancy then Corona is not a reason to not continue with a pregnancy. I know it’s scary but you don’t need to self isolate, but you do need to practice social distancing and take good care of yourself which would you be doing anyway as a pregnant woman. When you have your midwife appointment - which you sills be still attending because these are considered essential contact, you can share your worries about the virus. By the time you’re in your 3rd trimester hopefully this will be a thing of the last. Congratulations x

I found out I'm pregnant yesterday, I had to speak to my doctor as I had a few questions regarding an ongoing health condition and pregnancy. He told me to self distance and isolate as much as possible as in early pregnancy your immune system can fluctuate.
