I’m suffering awful tender, sore, painful ribs due to the baby putting pressure on them.

What did you do to help relieve the pain???

I’ve tried all sorts but desperate for any other ideas xx

It's the worst isn't it? Nothing eased mine apart from lying down flat on my back to allow the baby as much room as possible. Sitting was the worst for it, standing nae much better, lying totally flat was relief! Not kidding about this...at times in work when it was really bad I'd go out the back into the office and lie down on the floor for 10 minutes to relieve the agony and pressure. I completely sympathise.

Childbirth sorts it! Nothing else will I’m afraid unless baby moves/drops-but that’s worse, sore ribs is better than a low baby on your cervix....

My exercise ball has been a godsend. All fours and leaning on it, essentially extending your back as far as it can go.

Ah thanks ladies, I do so much to try stretch out but sometimes it’s soo bad I could cry!

Why what does a low baby on cervix feel like??

@Pascal3 for me it was like electric shocks and very heavy pressure. Any form of sitting was excruciating!

Pascal3 · 20/03/2020 11:13

Ahh I see, how long was you like that for?? Xx

Fortunately not long as my baby moved a lot and was small, she only engaged right at the end. But my friend had it for 8 weeks!

Ooo ouch!! Xx

I found sitting was unbearable but standing or lying was easier. Heat patches helped too
