Corona and early pregnancy

Hi wise people,

I've only just found out I'm pregnant, I'm about 6 weeks. I definitely do not want to alert my manager for various reasons but with everything going on right now our company is making it very easy to work from home if you are in a vulnerable group. Which I would be. But obviously I don't want to tell anyone. I have a history of miscarriage so it's very important to me I keep it private at this stage. At least until I have an early scan.

For the time being I have said someone in my household has symptoms so I have bought myself 14 days working at home, perhaps the wider situation will change during that period anyway but what should I do.

Help. Of course I want to put my safety first but I need to avoid telling them.

Hi there, can you say that you have a cough after and happy to wfh but will be self isolating? I ended up telling my manager at 9w and though if something goes wrong I don't mind her knowing so that I could take as much time off as I needed. I hope everything goes well with the pregnancy!

Congratulations firstly.
It must be tricky after a miscarriage and this situation doesn’t help!
When will you have your early scan? Would you feel ok to say after that one (which I assume would be in next few eeeks) or do you prefer to wait till after 12weeks?

My early scan (6 and a bit weeks) is this week on Friday.

I'm hoping to drag out the corona isolation thing for a little longer in the hope that I feel safer telling them. It's possible the government enforce home working anyway so it might all be void I guess.

Such crap timing.
