Hey all so I’m about 6 weeks pregnant and when I called the doctors about a week ago to schedule a midwife appointment they said you had to do a self referral thing on the nhs website, done all that and received a letter on Friday to say that I’ll receive a call from my midwife. I was wondering how long does it take to get your first midwife appointment after you’ve done your self referral on the nhs website. Thank you x

Congratulations! You will normally hear at about 7/8 weeks, first midwife appointment is around the 8 week mark and first scan between 11-14 weeks. I would suspect there maybe a backlog with the Coronavirus at the moment. I had a letter in the post with my appointment from the self referral system

I’ve just had my booking appointment today, I’m 9 weeks. I self referred at 7 weeks so it didn’t take long
