Staying motivated while working from home

Not gonna lie in finding staying motivated to work a bit hard at the mo!

Trying to enlist a more structured morning before i start the day and generally ensuring I take tea breaks etc. But finding getting into "work mode" quite hard! Particularly as I'm winding down before maternity leave anyway.

What're your tips/what've you been doing to keep on track?

I am also finding it difficult, and it's only day 2 😂.

I think it's good to shower and get dressed (even if only into clean pajamas..) before starting work. I'm also going to take a lunch break and try to get outside for half an hour (lots of pruning and weeding to do in the garden!). We also have various systems set up to communicate with colleagues which is good.

Also, can you set up a dedicated work station somewhere with all your stationary etc? I find that helps.

(Although evidently it's not helping that much as I am still on MN..)

I'm going to try and get into the habit of getting up when my partner does and going for a little run/brisk walk. Then I found some prenatal Pilates videos that are about 20 minutes long that I'm going to try at lunch time.

Although it's day 1 and I didn't go for that walk! Confused

My work are also doing lots of video chats instead of emails just so we all have company!

I work from home all the time and do the below:
Start at a set time
Have a 'work desk' set up and stay there
Have my lunch between 12 / half 12 every day
Put the radio on - or have ITV on in the background (this morning etc)
Have a set finish time.

I also used to get dressed every morning but now I stay in my pyjamas cus they're comfier on the bump.

Donts:
Sit scrolling on social media
Go on any websites that may take my concentration away (online shopping etc)
Keep gazing into the fridge
Do random jobs around the house. If I want to put any washing in etc I will do it on my 'lunch break'
