Warning.. graphic content ahead...

I'm 40+1 and have woken with continuous back ache and diarrhoea. I know these are both potential signs of very early labour (or just signs of eating too much curry and general pregnancy discomfort) but when I'm on the loo I get these very unpleasant and sharp pains 'down there' also. It's hard to identify where exactly but could it be my cervix gradually stretching as it does feel very much like that a sort of stretching pain that I would understand if I was having large stools but loose stools? Is that normal or just weird? Has anyone experienced this before?

Very sorry for the gross TMI.

Yes! My first birth felt like this!

I had the shits just before dd2’s birth.

Good luck! 👶🏽

Sounds like you are in labour.

Thank you. I'm not having any contractions yet, just this continuous dull ache and a bit of a jiffy feeling in my tummy 😬 hopefully this'll turn into something🤞

Yep you've started. Full ache is defo your contractions starting. I had a clear out on the Lou before mine. Exciting.

Sallysshoes · 18/03/2020 04:54

Well I've now vomited as well 😭 which isn't at all unusual for me as I have hyperemesis but maybe this is just a very unfortunately timed stomach bug.

I vomited snotty 4 hours before I have birth. My body I think was trying to evacuate everything so it didn't have to process anything else during labour. Good luck!

My contractions felt like stabbing pains in my cervix until quite late on.
