Hi all, so it bit of a weird question but I'm pregnant and have scan next week and I was just wondering if anyone knows what will happen to antenatal care, will I still be able to attend my scan?? I feel 100% well in myself and i have stopped going out to places, but what about antenatal care for pregnant women? Surely they can't cancel our appointsments?? HmmHmm

Royal college for obs have come out and said it's essential you still attend y Lou r scans and appointments. If you are symptomatic call the midwife for advice as to how to proceed x

I have my 12 wk scan on Friday morning. The hospital called me today and said that they will still be doing the scan as long as I am symptom free (which I am) and taking my bloods. Nothing else will be done as they want pregnant women in and out as quickly as possible. I am consultant led so the consultant will then call me later that day to discuss anything else they need to but I will not be seeing them. Also I can take one person in with me, no more.

I was going to call on Thursday myself to see what the situation was so if you are worried please just give them a call.

Hope this puts your mind at ease a little Flowers

I had a scan booked on Friday at Whipps Cross hospital but they called me two days ago and said the person doing it cancelled their shift. They gave me options to reschedule but it was when my partner couldn't attend so said could they call me back in a hour while I called my partner at work. 3 hours later and didn't think to take a number so I called the number on my letter. No one knew what I was talking about.
Still haven't spoke to anyone about rescheduling it despite calling several times. I'm 12 weeks and it would've been my first scan if I didn't pay for a private one at 9 weeks. Everything was fine then so not too bother about a delay to another one. If anything I will pay for another one if I have to, it's expensive but worth it to know my baby is ok.
