Packing to be induced

I will be induced on Thursday. Doctor said I will need to stay in for at least 3 days. I have packed mine and baby’s hospital case but I guess I’ll now need more stuff.

What should I pack?

Any tips for being induced? I’m scared.

Day two here.

Bring a pillow. They’re plastic.

Bring a towel. It’s HOT and you’ll want to shower.

Bring snacks. Drinks. Your own paracetamol cos they take ages to bring it. Lots of crappy magazines. A long phone charger. A lidded mug. A cold water bottle. Baby wipes. Plenty of patience.

Earplugs and eye mask!

I second the long phone charger - the sockets are so far away! Lots to read/puzzles/crosswords. I took a bottle of squash as I don't like just drinking water. And as for three days - I gave birth 10 hours after the pessary, so you never know! Good luck xx

Is this your first?

I was told three days and ended up in labour and baby born same day I entered.

But I packed everything, pack an a tablet (if you have one, charger, snacks, I took my maternity pillow to keep comfortable. Flip flops, spare night gowns.

For the baby - clothes, nappies etc
