Just wondering if there are many people on here who are currently pregnant with asthma who are absolutely panicking about Coronavirus like me?! I’m so worried about this and not sure what the best thing to do is. I can’t afford to stay 12 weeks off work!! I wish they would try and give us more info on pregnant women who catch this virus! 😫 my anxiety is through the roof right now!

I'm in the exact same position asthma and currently 22weeks. Self employed and not sure what to do now I have business premises to pay for 🤷‍♀️ wish they would either do a lock down or now and atleast then everyone's in the same position and there's not a choice to be made

Yes I'm asthmatic, usually very mild but it's been worse since I've been pregnant. I've been very anxious, but making sure I use my inhalers and just recorded some in case an announcement like this came in. I'm lucky I can work from home, dreading staying at home for 12 weeks but will do what I need to do.

I’m asthmatic and am 27 weeks. I haven’t been panicking as such but taking sensible precautions, however since pregnant women have been reclassified as part of the high risk group I’m feeling a lot more anxious. The uncertainty around everything and lack of clear advice isn’t helping and despite my medication I can feel my anxiety starting to amplify. I don’t really know what to do with myself this evening :(

Yes it’s awful the worry this is causing all of us pregnant ladies (especially with other conditions such as asthma). 😩 I have never felt anxiety like it!!

Hi yes I'm asthmatic and just found out I was pregnant last week. I'm terrified. I had to let my manager at work know even though I didn't want to announce anything yet as I work in a large GP practice. Found out today the surgery I'm based in is going to be used as the town's "red zone" where patients with mild covid symptoms will be sent. They've been good though, I'm going to be moved immediately to an office at another site which has been closed to patients so I'm lucky that I should hopefully be able to limit contact with people. I'm hoping they might go further now & let people work from home. My main concern is the schools are still open so I have to drop off & pick up my daughter. There's always crowds of parents hanging about & it's impossible to keep a distance because there isn't much room at the drop off points. Roll on the Easter break!!
I really feel for people who don't have the option to isolate or can't afford to 😢. Prior to this job I always worked in shops/pharmacies so I would have been in that situation. I wish the government would really crack down and also freeze mortgage/rent payments. I'm terrified about what's going to happen about midwife appointments & scans as well? I'm old so (nearly 37) so I'm already worried enough without all this as well

I’m not asthmatic but newly pregnant and I’m terrified. I’m self employed and can’t take 12 weeks off. I only took that for maternity when I had my dd and that was a struggle. I’m so concerned about the effects it could have in unborn babies. I feel awful this evening with worry. I’ve not told anyone yet so have no one to share my worry with.
